If you are looking for a beautiful watercolor painting in your home, then look no further than Pam Baumeister!  Her stunning work will be available at Handmade in April and we could not be more excited!

Pam, please introduce yourself!

Hi, I’m Pam Baumeister. Even though my husband and I have been parents for more than 23 years to four beautiful daughters, we realize we’re no parenting experts.

I started drawing and painting my kids when my oldest was a baby and have been fascinated with capturing the joy and temporary nature of childhood.

What do you enjoy doing when you are not creating?

When not creating I love to read a good book or two, travel, and ski as much as possible.

Where did your creative spark begin and can you trace your path to where you are today?

Hearing other parents’ stories really lights me up creatively. I love to capture a moment when a family felt joy and connection.

That’s what makes my product so unique. My commissioned pieces are completely individualized and personal to the family commissioning me.

Where do you create?

I create in a studio space that doubles as a home office that I share with my husband – the other half of Fruition Creative. The room has lots of natural light and plenty of wall space to hang my supplies and creations.

My sister designed our space and we’re putting the finishing touches on it right now.

How long have you been in business and what have you learned?

We have been in business off and on for more than 14 years, but my artistic creations are an addition to our business within the last two years.

We have learned that running a business takes patience and perseverance, organization and a lot of work.

We’ve learned that when we love what we do our customers and collectors do too.

What’s your favorite possession?

I have an old worn-out piece of wood I found on a walk at some point. It’s beautiful, twisted, and totally weathered smooth. I love it because it was made beautiful over time and that seems to be the way of many beautiful things. They take time.
